Our firm favourite first installation on any mobile device, PocketInformant, just launched their new Version 8.
Particularly if you're not familiar yet with WebIS and their line-up of products, you owe it to yourself to head over to their website and have a good look.
We'll discuss PI8 in more detail later.
For now, let's just say this is a major upgrade and free for registered owners of PI2007 who purchased after September 1st, 2007.
But even the upgrade price of $16.95 is easy on the wallet. Heck, even a totally new install only costs less than 30 bucks! |

MoGo Wireless announced a Portable Cellular Signal Booster which aims to amplify the signal strength available to your mobile phone.
This is very important in rural areas such as mine where connectivity is very patchy.
The device claims a 10x signal boost and can be plugged into a car power supply or into a laptop via USB. There is also an optional 12V to 110 adaptor accessory for home or office use. Once plugged in, the mini-tower will instantly (and wirelessly) recognize your phone and begin working its magic without any further adjustment. It is said that this Mogo is compatible with nearly all service providers as well as all Bluetooth devices with availability later this year for around $149.
We hope we can get a unit in to test for you. |

This is an interesting device with emphasis on music afficionados.
It
has front-mounted track controls and an FM tuner, a 1.3-megapixel
camera, microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 2-inch 160 x
128 resolution LCD.
It is a GSM 900, 1800, 1900 and EDGE phone (no NextG capabilities) and
should hit the market for under $300. When? Ah, there lies the rub...

In April I got a new N95, Nokias flagship cell phone. As far as mobiles go, it really is a nifty piece of kit running with lots and lots of potential.
One of the reasons I say potential is because even though the hardware and its Symbian OS (3rd edition) is top of the line; its the ease of access to information and applications that makes the hardware truly handy.
So speaking of handy, lets have a look at very useful suite of apps Epocware prepared earlier, aptly named: Handy Tools Pro.
Handy Tools Pro is a suite made up of Epocwares Handy TaskMan, Handy Weather, Handy Clock, Handy Converter, Handy Expense, Handy Safe, Handy Keylock, and Zip Manager.
