Staying out of DOUBLE trouble is easy now with the QSTARZ Double 32 Bluetooth GPS Receiver!

The recently announced BT-Q818 gives us double the endurance -- 32 hours -- and double the normal number of satellites tracked -- also 32.

So running into the double trouble of poor reception and running out of battery is now a thing of the past.

For 89 Euros this looks like an excellent choice and we undoubtedly will bring you more details when we get our review unit.

More specs below.

And by the way, we can now reveal the mystery of how the Tiny BT-Q920 GPS brings us the joy of music! We reported earlier on the existence of this receiver with its special feature that works on an FM transmitter. See below for a preview of the actual unit which FedEx dropped off today!

Killer App: Nuance Mobile Speech Platform 1

Forget about mobile devices needing a keyboard!

Just pick 'em up, start dictating that SMS or email, speak to search for the nearest coffee shop and, while driving, listen to emails being read aloud -- all courtesy of  Nuance's Mobile Speech Platform!

This surely has to be THE killer application for our mobile lifestyle and coming from Nuance whose highly capable Dragon NaturallySpeaking we recently reviewed, I've got good confidence that this program will be a godsend to many folk who are challenged on the mini keyboards.

It is currently in Beta and we'll bring you a full review when Nuance will make it generally available mid 2007.

In the meantime we bring you these first pictures that will give you a good idea what the potential is for the Mobile Speech Platform.

Small is beautiful, TINY is a HUGE improvement! Particularly if it comes with the extra function of being able to listen to MP3s via the FM transmitter. How that is supposed to work we don't know (yet) but our review unit has just been FedExed from Taiwan so we'll tell you soon! Official announcement of the Qstarz BT-Q920 is December 20.
And HOW tiny you ask? Try 5.9 x 4.4 cm. That's about 2 inches square.
Not bad for a SiRF Star III receiver with bluetooth and music...

And check here for our earlier review on the Qstarz BT-Q810

Zenum Opus

We're one step closer now to the official launch of the stunningly beautiful and feature-rich OPUS PocketPC from Zenum. It's been rescheduled for March and we've been promised our very own review unit to not only prove to an increasingly sceptical world that  the OPUS exists beyond a cleverly designed prototype, but also to check out how well this model works in real life.

We've been communicating regularly with Zenum ever since their first announcement and will bring you more news as soon as it becomes available.

In the meantime, check out the official Press Release below.

Plane Quiet NC-7 Headphones

 Plane Quiet NC-7

The Plane Quiet NC-7  is a pair of noise-canceling headphones that offer the convenience of being able to take them wherever you go.  When evaluating noise-canceling headphones, we usually examine two main things:  how well the noise-cancellation feature works and whether the headphones have good sound with the noise-cancellation feature on or off.  If the product can nail these two down, then we've good a product.

With the abundant number of flashlights available on the market, sometimes randomly grabbing one off the shelf is good enough for most people.  On the other hand, there are those that are a bit more picky and want the flashlight that is brighter, lasts longer, and is unique.  In this category, we're not talking about the cheap $10-20 dollar ones.  Usually the cost for these kinds of flashlights is a bit more expensive...usually $50 and above.  Today, I had the chance to look at the Lumaray FL6 flashlight.  It is a unique flashlight that does more than just shining light.  Let's find out in the review.
