Protecting your Gadgets

Why would you write a glowing review about a product that you can't even see?

That's precisely the point: you can't see it but it does have the very important job of protecting the shiny gadgets that you don't want to get scratched.

And that's why they call it the InvisibleSHIELD.

I have put it to good use on two of my most treasured devices, my Nokia N80 and iPAQ 4700.

Let's see how we went.

Book Review: The Annals of the World by James Ussher

If it weren’t for the advertising on WorldNetDaily.com I would not easily have heard of The Annals of the World by James Ussher. They gave a lot of “air play” to marketing a book that’s some 350 years old.

Was it because this book has more twists and turns than the Da Vinci Code? Or perhaps it is because The Annals is based on sound historical data whilst Dan Brown’s novel might make for good reading but manages to upset most ecclesiastical scholars with his mix of fantasy and fact.

Why is The Annals of the World after all these years still relevant?

How accurate is this chronicle of world history?

If you’ve got the time, here’s the tome… all 960 pages of it!

Let’s pry the lid off this treasure chest.

Swiss Made and Stunning

This nicely specced PocketPC phone from upstart company Zenum is designed by Jaren Goh in Singapore but conceived in Switzerland and that’s probably as far as “Swiss Made” goes these days…
It’s a beautiful concept phone and the company assures me that by the end of October they will send one to me to test out and thus convince a sceptical world that rather than labelling it as vaporware it’s a serious contender if you’re looking for a fully connected (GSM, WiFi, Bluetooth) device that also sports a 2MP camera.
Hopefully you’ll read the first in-depth user review here soon but to get you salivating, check out the preliminary specs below.

(By the way, Opus Operis means Completed Work, so we've got confidence to see the Opus live very soon!)

The other day I had the opportunity to have a quick look at the Nokia E61 which most people would categorise as a Blackberry type smartphone.
I only spent an hour with the E61 which probably doesn't do it justice so we'll just stick to the facts and let the pictures do the talking.
