Here's an interesting new release of Navideo with plenty of new features.
But first you may ask: "What is Navideo?"
Navideo is a multi purpose application for your PDA and PC that combines navigation with mobile communication.
So what can you do with Navideo?
Exchange your GPS location with others by clicking just one button. Send SOS messages including your exact position for emergency assistance. Display incoming positions or set them as a target for navigation. Run Navideo either in standalone mode or in conjunction with additional navigation software such as TomTom Navigator. Save your position or track your journey and display it later on a map in Google Maps/Earth or Microsoft Autoroute.  

Navideo 2.0 now introduces a completely free Navideo Basic Version and many new features:

    * Send Navideo.net maplinks via instant messaging, email or SMS: Anyone can display your positon even without running Navideo
    * use Navideo in combination with TomTom Navigator or GoogleMaps on your PocketPC or PC
    * Offroad Targetfinder (find incoming positions even when no maps are available)
    * Speedometer: Show your driving time, distance, speed (current, maximum, average), height
    * Friendlist: Store up to 20 SMS numbers or email addresses
    * Autoupdate: Automatically display or navigate to incoming positions
    * Many new hardware tracking devices supported: track any object with your Pocket PC
